HEY, WE CAN HELP.

More watching.
Less figuring things out.

A few quick answers to get your room going.

How do I start or join a room?

Choose Create a room on the homepage, enter a display name, then share the link using Invite friends. Already have a link? Open it directly or paste it into Join a room on the homepage.

Which videos and live streams work?

Use YouTube videos and live streams, Twitch channels, or public Vimeo videos. Paste the video link rather than a news article or search page. Select Live stream for a live broadcast. Availability, ads and embedding restrictions are controlled by the provider.

Will friends start at the same point?

For supported on-demand videos, new guests catch up to the room’s playback position. Use Sync to room if you fall behind. Live streams can have different delays on each device, so exact alignment is not guaranteed.

Why is my camera or microphone not working?

Open HeyTizz over HTTPS and allow camera or microphone access in your browser’s site settings. Check the selected device in room settings. Cameras start off. Use headphones to reduce echo, and check that another app is not using your camera.

Can I lock a room or remove someone?

The host can lock the room to stop new guests joining, unlock it, or remove a guest in Settings. A link is an invitation, so only share it with people you trust. Lock the room after removing someone to stop them returning as a new guest.

Who controls the video?

The host can choose host-only controls or let everyone control playback. The supported controls depend on the video provider. Your volume, microphone and camera controls are personal.

What happens when the host leaves?

Hosting passes to another connected participant. A temporary disconnection has a short reconnection window before handover. Rooms are temporary: an expired room or a service restart can make an old invitation stop working. Create a new room if that happens.

How many people can join?

Each room supports up to 12 people. Connection quality depends on your device, network and the other participants. Try fewer cameras if a call becomes slow.

Can I use HeyTizz on my phone?

Yes. Open the link in your browser. You may need to tap the video to start playback or enable sound. Keep the browser in the foreground while watching and calling.

What if Create a room fails?

Check your connection, refresh the page and try again. If the service is temporarily unavailable, try again later. For a persistent issue, contact us with your browser, device and the time it happened.
